After signup, a subscription that needs hardware flows through installation. This guide covers the queue, scheduling, and what technicians use in the field.

The pending-install queue

Every subscription awaiting hardware shows here.
1

Open Pending Installs

Go to Pending Installs for the list of subscriptions awaiting installation, with the subscriber, unit, and status. This is your “what needs doing” for provisioning.

Open Field Service

Go to Field Service to see open jobs and pending installs, assign a technician, and schedule a window. Jobs are ordered so a tech’s day makes a sensible route.

Per-unit install guides

Each unit has a print-ready install guide that gets richer as NetBox fills in.
1

Open a unit's install guide

From a pending install (or the subscriber’s cockpit), open Install guide — a printable page with the unit’s location, the cable path (region → site → room → unit), and any rack/photo/serial data NetBox holds. It’s also attached to the install ticket.

A unit install guide

Install guides get more detailed automatically as NetBox gains racks, photos and serials — no doc edits needed.

The technician app

Field techs work from a mobile-friendly view — their assigned jobs, in route order, with the info they need on site and a way to mark a job done (which triggers activation).
A completed install can kick off follow-ups — wire a install.completed trigger in Automations.
